Exploring the Product
We have chosen manufacturers for all types of product. Our primary manufacturers are Canadian and have been in business for many years. They are industry leaders in meeting ENERGY STAR’S challenge for quality.
When choosing windows for your home, we must consider the architectural style of your home. Do you have a brick, vinyl siding, stucco, wood siding, clapboard or a board and batten home? The installation of the window can be different depending on the exterior finish of your home.
As our Company Motto says, “Customized for your Needs.”
Why should I buy ENERGY STAR qualified windows, doors or skylights?
Windows, doors, and skylights—collectively known as fenestration products—are a major source of heat loss in Canadian homes.
Fenestration products that qualify for the mark have been independently tested and certified to be among the most energy-efficient on the market, so installing them in your home will reduce your energy consumption and save you money. But there’s more: energy-efficient windows will also increase your comfort, cut down noise levels from outside the home, have less condensation in cold weather than standard products, and allow fewer ultraviolet rays to pass through glazed areas, thus better protecting your valuables from sun damage. Last but certainly not least, by reducing your home’s energy consumption, ENERGY STAR qualified windows, doors and skylights also reduce greenhouse gas emissions that are contributing to climate change.

Windows come in a variety of types, styles, designs and materials. Styles and designs range from super modern to ultra traditional. The following is a description of the types of products and the materials used that we typically supply and install.
Like windows, doors come in a variety of types, styles, designs and materials. Styles and designs range from super modern to ultra traditional. The following is a description of the types of products and the materials used that we typically supply and install.
Steel doors have a steel fabricated skin which is typically filled with insulation.
Fibreglass doors have a fibreglass skin which is typically filled with insulation. The skin is often a simulated wood-look and provides the appearance of a solid wood door, but with the advantage of an insulated core.
Solid wood doors are a great choice for the purist and for the conservationist, wood doors can be obtained with insulation in the centre.
Door styles range from ultra-modern to traditional. Configurations include single door, double door, garden door, with no side-lite, one side-lite next to the door, two side-lites, transoms above the door; glass inserts into one panel, two panel, three panel, or more; clear glass, frosted glass, opaque glass, etched glass; designs inserted into the glass or not. Specialty doors include sliding patio doors, 4-panel sliding doors, folding doors and double lift and slide doors. This is just a partial list. The choice is dizzying.
Locking systems are typically single point or triple point locking systems. Triple point systems offer an additional measure of security and are typically much more expensive. As hardware styles are almost as varied as doors, we recommend that customers visit their favourite hardware supplier, and we will install.
Garage doors come in a variety of styles, designs and materials.
The doors are typically overhead with the track running parallel with the top of the door or running at ceiling height to allow for more usable space above the door in the garage.
Available materials are steel and wood.
The approach to selecting the garage door that suits the design of your home and your budget is very flexible. We guide you through an on-line process that is best described as “a la carte”. You choose the features you want, and we build your garage door together.
We are a dealer for and can supply and install retractable screens from one of the best-known names in the industry.
Retractable screens are available for use on both doors and windows and are designed to retract out of sight when not in use. They perform two main functions when in use—ventilation and protection from insects. There are rolling screens that roll into a housing for storage and fold-away screens. The fold-away screens contemplate a simple pleated screen system that folds into a compact storage unit, without the need for complex hardware. Traditional flat screens have limitations: they are unattractive, obstruct the view within and without, are prone to damage, difficult to maneuver and hard to clean.
