Scott Browning, Founder, President and COO

Scott has been in the window and door business for 17 years, learning how to do it “right” from the best and the worst in the industry. In 2015 he moved the business to Calgary and for a number of years was quite successful. He was a successful installer for “Pella” and “Lux” windows and provided sales and installation services directly to a couple of townhouse projects in Calgary. For business and personal reasons he has decided to move the business back to the GTA.
Scott believes that the differentiator will always be personal service, workmanship, product quality and price. Scott will ensure that this is maintained by:

  • Being hands-on with every installation
  • Supervising and training staff to meet the customers expected standards
  • Keeping abreast of the latest techniques and products in the marketplace
  • Attending trade shows, belonging to trade associations and by being in constant contact with multiple suppliers


Peter Browning, CPA, CA – Chairman and CFO

Peter has an extensive professional and business career. He is a chartered accountant, first at PWC and then as a senior partner at a firm that later became MNP LLP in Toronto/Markham. While at this firm, he provided business advice to many businesses such as BWD. He then moved on to establish a number of successful businesses along with his business partner and spouse Deborah Browning. Included in these successful business enterprises was a partnership with one of the GTA’s premier home builders and the build-out of a custom/luxury home project in the north end of Richmond Hill. This experience alone prepares Peter and Deborah for their entry into the window and door business
Peter will focus on finance, accounting, and strategic planning for the company. Deborah will focus on Marketing and Administration

Deborah Browning, B.A.A., B.Ed – Executive Vice President, Marketing and Administration

Prior to pursuing a career in Business Education, Deborah was employed by a major advertising agency. She then spent many years in the educational system teaching business skills, marketing and communication. She subsequently moved on to take the position of VP Marketing in a series of family-owned small and medium enterprises. Through the diversity of her business and educational experience, Deborah brings an understanding of the entrepreneur and an ability to plan the strategy for success. “Marketing” and “Communication” and their importance are the keystones that make Deborah an invaluable member of the BWD team.
